Week 1 – Interactive Design for Audio-Visual Language of Marine Animation: A Simulation Study Summary

Interactive design refers to the process of developing products that are relatable, usable, and follow the expected patterns of people’s lives (Sharp et al., 2019). In the article, “Interactive Design for Audio-Visual Language of Marine Animation: A Simulation Study”, interaction design is used to create a realistic ocean simulation that makes the audience feel immersed in the setting through audio-visual equipment (Feng, 2020). The article discusses the method, advantages, design, and how interactive design is used in the process.

The interactive design method used in this study is a user-driven method that analyzes the setting, user behavior, prototyping, usability, troubleshooting, and final design (Feng, 2020). The spatial positioning element was essential to the simulation because it used sound and the audience’s perspective at any point to add to the experience. Rather than having all sound come from one set of speakers, it could come from the direction of the object represented.

Interactive design was important in this study because they followed a method to create an experience that caters to the user’s perspective. They were able to use interactive design to enhance the simulation by identifying key creative elements that enhance the usability of the simulation (Feng, 2020). Firstly, it is essential to ensure that computers become a more indispensable and attractive element in the organization. As a result, the role of computers in achieving human-computer interaction goals may differ from the role of information systems (Sharp et al., 2019).

Computer technology provides a new capability for communication, allowing a greater level of interactivity among individuals, and making possible new opportunities for cooperation that had previously been unavailable. It is the relationship between a user’s interface and the capabilities that are offered by the system. Interactive design is the study of the interface, that is, the design that allows a user to experience a program or a part of an application (Ye & Zhang, 2021). The interactive design form is a critical factor in user satisfaction with a system. Thus, the information technology executive needs to understand the needs and design of these users. The interface is essential because it is the only way to interact with the system. This means that the user must feel as though they are in control, and the computer is the central part of the user’s work (Ye & Zhang, 2021).

Interactive designers have a strong focus on problem-solving. Interactive designers have a more robust understanding of the needs of the user. As a result, they have an eye on the user’s interests and interests rather than the designer’s. They have an in-depth perspective and a more analytical approach to user-centered design. They work on specific problems rather than general design problems. They are also less concerned with branding than the other designers in the project team or overall user experience. Interactive design allows an organization to focus on the core objectives of its mission, such as customer satisfaction and improving processes. It allows an organization to create unique, innovative products and services that meet the requirements of its clients. In addition, the interactive design enables an organization to take a longer view of its operations. For example, an organization planning for expansion might benefit from an architectural analysis that looks at the strengths and weaknesses of the existing services and the need to add more to meet new requirements (Sharp et al., 2019).

Responsive web design focuses on the relevance of a product to an organization’s specific needs and audience. The concept is about helping users have greater control over the design of their organization’s websites. This approach is the opposite of traditional websites in that it focuses on the content as a vehicle for distribution. Rather than presenting users with hyperlinks, this approach gives them the ability to discover content by browsing (Quere et al., 2021).

Interactive design is a process of defining user needs and engaging with users through different interactive experiences. This process is one of the key drivers in the success of social networking sites. In many cases, it has turned out that more information can be generated in a shorter amount of time. Social networking sites are highly interactive. In interactive design, designers use various tools to help designers work together with a large group of users to bring about an effect. Different tasks can be performed as the user interacts with an interactive design environment. The user’s actions, gestures, and clicks can be incorporated into the design to enhance its look and feel. Business processes change constantly. They use many different technology devices and applications. These changes can be especially troublesome when they involve interactive elements. Therefore, it is not the design itself that must be successful but rather the interaction between different elements to build practical, effective, and relevant solutions (Quere et al., 2021).

Consequently, interactive design requires a deep understanding of the nature of the interaction and a well-designed interaction with complex and dynamic interactive elements. Interactive designers have a long history of working with interactive media, especially for product development. They work with user interfaces, including dialog boxes, menus, and text-based controls. In the last few years, they have become increasingly sophisticated in incorporating new forms of media into their designs.
