The body of the proposal should consist of 4 distinct paragraphs. First, you should identify the topic and provide a preliminary thesis statement. Then, provide a summary of the key historiographical works, followed by a explanation of the significance of the argument. Finally, provide a brief overview of the research process. The bibliography needs to include five primary and five secondary sources in the proper Turabian format. While scholarly internet sources are encouraged, please use internet sources with discretion, avoiding general, non-peer-reviewed sites. After each source, the student must provide a brief description (20-30 words) of the source and its importance to the paper.
